Dear Friends,
The 12th Mayors’ conference, hosted by the City of Oslo, will focus on the narcotics industry. We wish to expose this cynical industry through pictures from their international activity and lectures on various related issues, including the restrictive action designed to combat it.
We will also focus on the victims of this industry and their situation, with a presentation of various forms of care provision, both by public services and through the work of voluntary organisations.
We hope to be able to demonstrate different approaches to care for the addicted based on ECAD'’ goal of restrictive drug policy, and to stimulate to debate.
The conference will be a part of the 100th anniversary of the peaceful dissolution of the Swedish/Norwegian union in 1905 which made Norway a fully sovereign nation.
With a little bit of luck we hope to present our capital at its finest. In the aftermath of the spring the climate is normally is mild and fresh. The city is situated at the head of the blue Oslo fjord, surrounded by green hilly forests whose natural beauty will hopefully form inspiring surroundings to our conference.
We look forward to seeing you and wish you welcome to Oslo in May!
